Moira Grigo - Traits That A Good Lawyer Must Possess

The legal profession is challenging at the best of times and Moira Grigor points out that there are many people who are simply not suited for the job. Honesty

As a lawyer it is your duty to act in a transparent fashion, being completely honest when you are in court and in your dealings with clients and other legal professionals. Those who try to hide behind deceit or are otherwise less than transparent in their work will often find it more difficult to gain their client’s trust, in addition to potentially setting themselves up for legal issues further down the line.

Analytical Skills

As a lawyer, one of your main jobs will be to consider all of the evidence and information that is available to you so that you can draw reasonable conclusions. As such, you need to be a competent and dedicated analyst, spending as much time as is needed on researching the various aspects of a case in order to construct a reasoned argument that will hold up when it is presented in a court of law.

People Skills

Moira Grigor notes that the legal profession requires a lawyer to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. This means that you need to have a high level of social decorum and people skills I order to be effective in the profession. This will help you gain the trust of your clients, so that they work more effectively alongside you, in addition to helping you be more convincing when you make your arguments in the courtroom.
